This program is an important way the Westport Council on Aging is fulfilling its mission to meet the needs of Westport’s elders. Here they find opportunities for social contact and participate in many varied activities during the day. The Friends provide financial support for many special activities, which this past year included a Cape Cod summer boat trip in June, a hands-on visit with some adorable farm animals (Barn Babies) in August, a Christmas party with gifts and entertainment and, most recently, a lively St. Patricks’ Day magic show with music by Barry and Patty Simon.
