The Friends provide funds for plants and garden materials used by a group of WCOA volunteers who maintain the planter boxes and gardens along the COA main walkway and the Memorial Garden up on the hill. Volunteers work in the gardens every Monday from 9 am to 11 am April through October weeding, pruning, planting and watering to keep the grounds in good condition. The Memorial Garden is a tribute to family members and volunteers who are gone and are not forgotten.
This year’s gardens will feature a red-white-blue display in honor of Westport MA 250.
